“Every song has a CODA, a final movement.
Whether it fades out or crashes away, every song ends.
Is that any reason not to enjoy the music?
The truth is, there is nothing to be afraid of. It's just life.”
- Ellie, One Tree Hill
Music is what centers me.
It has always been my balance in this roller-coaster we call life.
When I was just a little girl, I always loved to sing.
I still sing, just not in public anymore.
A quote from one of my favorite shows – “If I can’t be great at it then I don’t wanna ruin it. It’s too important to me.”
That’s how I feel about music.
Despite any given mood, I can always rely on music to remind me of where I’ve been and where I want to go.
Some songs just bring life and meaning to your world.
For me, I can remember everything about the day.
The very first time you heard a song.
Where I was.
Who I was with.
What I was wearing.
How the wind faintly brushed my hair against my cheek that morning.
It becomes a moment in time for me.
And it always takes me back to that moment.
I can’t even begin to explain the magic behind it.
Music takes the words from my heart and puts up to the mirror for me to see my reflection.
What I can’t truly express.
What I so desperately want to convey.
What I want to share.
And so, that's what drives me.
I call it: music of the soul.

Man, I miss my guy.
I don't even wanna think about it,
the shit just makes me furious
and sad all in one fell swoop.
However, the literary genius that he was makes me want to celebrate.
Celebrate his life, his joy and his time here.

I've only listened to it one time through,
but if you were a Miller fanatic
- it's a must hear.
Khalid always just does something to me.
You can hear his passion through his voice,
not only is it angelic
but also mesmerizing.
Transcendent, if you will.

The beat's transition at the end might be my favorite part about the song.
Go give it a listen.
What exactly can I say other than yes?
Yes to this.
Yes to the duo.
Oh I'm having flashbacks
to my college days now.
One thing I love about this new hit, Life is Good -
versatility.
I love how it seems like your listening to two completely different songs at once.
Drake's verse is in the beginning and starts off slow and then Future hits us with the flames.

Just take my word for it.
Can we really talk about this entire album?
I mean honestly some artists can really move you.
I know when I become obsessed with an album if I can play it from start to finish.

Each song she delivers a different emotion. Whether it’s love, lust, want, anger, or acceptance.
She produces a body of work that I can easily say I fell in love with.
She’s got nothing but pure soul in her sound, with it’s jazz to R&B hypnotic flow.
My favorite songs would have to be Nothing to Me, Whoa and Find Someone Like You.
Definitely a must-listen, you won’t regret it.
Wow.

Have you ever listened to a song that made you think of just one person.
Nobody else.

The single is called Grateful and she really carries her voice softly and passionately.
I think I love the song primarily because it reminds me of what love is supposed to bring to our lives.
Joy, laughter, confusion, but most importantly a feeling of peace.
You give me all those feelings and more which is why I can say with a clear mind that you are home for me.
This song reminds me of home.
Jorja always does her thing.
This song gives me major West Indian vibes.
So shout-out to half of my nationality feeling the love and the vibes when this upbeat tempo hits. Jorja has a presence and aura in her music that for me is forever unmatched.

This summer jam that just dropped is titled Be Honest and features Burna’ Boy.
Some music makes you feel sexy, untouchable, confident.
I think that’s why this song got on my top-list immediately.
It was a perfect tribute to the end of summer, but for some of us – summer really never ends.
